ABQ is served by eight major commercial carriers: American, America West, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Northwest, Southwest and United. It also receives regular service from commuter airlines: Air Midwest, Continental Express, Freedom, Horizon Air, Mesa, Rio Grande Air and Skywest. Regional airline service is provided by Great Plains. Freight service is provided by Airborne Express, Aero Charter, Astar Air Cargo, Empire, Federal Express, Southwest Aero Service and UPS.
Southwest Airlines is ABQ's largest carrier; it handled 54% of ABQ's 2003 passengers.
